My Award-winning Sunflower Tassel

This sunflower tassel earned recognition in the 2024 Juried Art Contest. Every sunflower is individually hand sculpted from full leather, then hand carved, hand painted, and carefully shaped petal by petal. No molds or shortcuts—each flower is a one-of-a-kind work of leather art, created entirely by hand.

This one-of-a-kind tassel features hand-sculpted leather sunflowers, each individually carved, painted, and shaped by hand. Nestled among the leaves is a tiny leather ladybug, also hand sculpted, hand carved, and hand painted. Every detail was created by hand, making this a true labor of love and a unique piece of handcrafted leather art.

Wild Copper Sunflower Tassel features a hand-sculpted leather sunflower, individually hand carved, hand painted, and carefully shaped by hand. The centerpiece showcases a beautiful Hubei turquoise cabochon, complemented by braided leather, hand-selected gemstones, and flowing leather fringe. Every detail was thoughtfully handcrafted, creating a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by the rugged beauty of the Southwest.

This one-of-a-kind tassel features a genuine 925 sterling silver owl pendant with a vibrant abalone shell inlay. All of the silver components on this design are solid 925 sterling silver, paired with hand-braided leather, carefully selected gemstones, and flowing leather fringe. Created several years ago, this nature-inspired tassel reflects the quality materials and handcrafted artistry that define my work.

This custom Sonora Fringe leather vest was handcrafted as a statement piece for its owner to wear at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR). Every detail was completed by hand, including the dyeing, cutting, stitching, and fringe work. Designed to stand out while honoring classic Western style, this one-of-a-kind vest reflects the time, skill, and craftsmanship that go into every custom piece I create.

This hand-sculpted leather spider was one of my favorite creations. Every detail was sculpted, hand painted, and individually beaded by hand, with a genuine moonstone gemstone beautifully inlaid into the body. I absolutely cherished this piece, but it found a wonderful home with a customer who fell in love with it as much as I did. That's the bittersweet part of creating one-of-a-kind handcrafted art—letting it go so someone else can treasure it.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I put my leatherwork aside and became a mask maker. While I sold masks to the public, every purchase helped me donate more masks to the people serving on the front lines—including hospital staff, police officers, and other essential workers. One of the most meaningful moments was receiving a photo from the hospital team in Los Angeles who wore the masks I had donated. I was also honored to create a custom mask for my dear friend, Mrs. Arizona. Although COVID brought heartbreak, including the loss of my niece, I'm grateful I was able to use my skills to help others during such a difficult time.

This leather necklace features a simple hand wire-wrapped dendritic opal kunai-shaped pendant. While I enjoyed creating pieces like this, I eventually discovered that elaborate wire wrapping wasn't where my passion was. Today, I primarily use simple wire-wrapping techniques to create charms and accents for my handcrafted leather tassels, allowing the leatherwork and gemstones to remain the stars of the design.

These early handcrafted leather bolo ties represent the beginning of my journey into combining leather, gemstones, and beadwork. I've always been drawn to unique stones and distinctive designs, preferring to create what I envision in my mind rather than follow trends. Each piece was built around the natural beauty of the gemstone, resulting in one-of-a-kind wearable art that reflects my creativity and evolving craftsmanship.

This whimsical elf stocking coin purse was designed from my own original pattern and handcrafted from pearlized metallic green leather with a soft faux fur cuff. Featuring a zippered compartment and a swivel clip, it can be attached to a handbag, backpack, or key ring for both fun and function. It quickly became one of my most popular seasonal designs, and I created several in different variations before retiring the pattern.

Every leather rose is individually hand sculpted, hand painted, and carefully shaped petal by petal to capture the beauty of a real bloom. Even the leaves are handcrafted from leather, making the entire piece a true work of leather art. These handcrafted roses have become a favorite around Valentine's Day, offering a lasting keepsake that will never fade.

Over the years, I've created a wide variety of handcrafted artisan accessories, combining beautiful textiles with quality leather to create functional, everyday pieces. From sunglass cases, coin purses, and pouches to bag straps, wristlets, leather cuffs, and coordinating tassels, I enjoy designing pieces that are both practical and unique. I don't like limiting my creativity—if I can envision it, I love finding a way to bring it to life.
