Fossilized Druzy Spiralite Shells

Druzy crystallized fossil shells are rare, especially specific types like the Spiralite or Dakshinavarti fossil shells from India, which are both crystallized and have a rare left-hand spiral. The rarity is due to a combination of factors, including the rarity of the fossil itself, the specific geological conditions required for crystallization to occur within the shell.

Crystallized fossil shells are shells that have been mineralized, where the original organic material is replaced by crystals like quartz (in a process called agatization) or calcite (recrystallization). This process preserves the original shape of the shell while the internal structure becomes filled with or replaced by new mineral crystals. 

Fossils are seen as a link to the past, representing resilience, perspective, and the slow passage of time. Fossilized Shell reminds us that we are always growing and being given opportunities to become an even better version of ourselves. It teaches us an amazing kind of balance – showing us how to protect the soft parts of ourselves so they don’t get traumatized or jaded, while simultaneously showing us how to remain open to the full experience of living.
