Collection: Bismuth Carvings

Bismuth is a rare silvery metal known for its striking rainbow iridescence and fantastical geometric hopper crystal formations. While both the shape and tarnish can occur naturally, most colorful bismuth on the market is artist-enhanced. Found naturally in the Earth’s crust—often alongside other metal sulfides—bismuth is considered a stone of transformation, believed to support change, clear blocked energy, align the chakras, and boost creativity, focus, and productivity. Nicknamed the “rainbow metal,” its name comes from the German weiße Masse (“white mass”), and it has been known since ancient times, though formally identified in the 18th century.
