Sodalite is a deep royal-blue feldspathoid mineral often marked with white calcite veining, formed in silica-poor igneous rocks and polished for its bold contrast. With a Mohs hardness of 5.5–6, it’s durable enough for cabochons but best handled with care. Known as a stone of logic and truth, sodalite is believed to support clear communication, intuition, and a calm, balanced mind.
