New Ideas, New Leather

Hey everyone! It's been a minute!! Just a couple weeks where life moves fast, the ideas move faster, and the leather scraps somehow end up absolutely everywhere. 😂

But honestly? Those are usually the weeks where my favorite pieces happen.

Lately I’ve been experimenting more with sculpted leather, layered textures, turquoise pairings, and ways to make pieces do more than one thing — because I love the idea that wearable art shouldn’t have limits.

People are always telling me, “I want to wear that,” when they see my pieces… so I finally decided: why not let them? If a statement piece wants to live on your bag one day and around your neck the next, why not? The Adjustable Bolo Slide Attachment actually came from that exact thought process, so I figured out a way to make it happen without destroying bolo cords in the process.

And honestly, pieces like the Chrysocolla Bloom are exactly why. Hand-sculpted leather petals, bold pink accents, an upgraded bolo cord, and a Chrysocolla focal stone made to stand out — this piece definitely leans into the wearable art direction the workbench has been taking lately.

Alongside that, there’s been a lot more that's been happening: hand-sculpted leather sunflowers, bold turquoise statement pieces, layered fringe tassels, laced pendants, metallic accents, and probably way too much antique brass hardware scattered across my table.

Some pieces turn into full designs. Some start as experiments. Some almost get scrapped… until they suddenly become favorites.

That’s kind of the magic of handmade work though. Every piece evolves a little differently.
